Asotin County Library to Host Community Forums on Levy Lid Lift

CLARKSTON, WA — The Asotin County Rural Library District invites the public to community forums to learn more about the upcoming library levy lid lift proposal on the November 4, 2025 ballot. The forums will take place on Thursday, October 9 from 7:00 to 8:00pm and Saturday, October 11 from 1:00 to 2:00pm at Asotin County Library, 417 Sycamore St, Clarkston. Library Director Jennifer Ashby will provide an overview of the levy lid lift measure, explain what it means for the community, and answer questions from attendees. This will be the first time in sixteen years that the Library has asked voters to consider a levy lid lift. If approved, the measure would restore the Library’s funding rate to 50 cents per $1,000 of assessed property value, supporting programs, services, and library hours for the community.
